The world wide interweb is full of interesting/distracting running nooks. Have some free time/bored at work? Check out some of our favorite sites:
**General Running**
OK Runner (not the store) : Nice site with news/race postings/other groups/pretty much everything else running throughout the state and region. Check out the calendar for local races. Oddly enough...they are not related to the running store of the same name in Norman.
Odyssey Running : Another group that hails from Norman! They're in their 10th year of offering a year-long fitness challenge. Check them out!
Oklahoma Trail Runners Association : An Oklahoma running group that loves TRAILS!! The hold monthly runs on various trails around Oklahoma City; these runs usually fall on the 3rd Saturday of each month.
Landrunners- OKC Running Club : This group has HUGE turnout for their OKC Marathon training in the spring (probably somewhere near 150 runners!)! They offer these runs on Saturdays at various locations around the Oklahoma City area. And they have a table of baked goods at the end...
FloTrack : Interested in following national/international collegiate/professional running scene? Check this site out for excellent racing coverage/running information.
Tulsa Area Trail Ultra Runners : Cool group in the Tulsa Area that puts on a number of longer trail races in the state. They also offer training runs for those of you who are from the Tulsa area.
MapMyRun : Don't have a fancy watch to keep track of your miles? Don't flip out!! Use this free site to map your routes. Cool? Cool.

OK Runner is the only specialty running shop in town; and they offer an excellent selection. Check them out! (The store is located in a plaza in the southwest corner of Robinson and 36th St. NW.)
**Races/Charities**
OUHSC Miracle Run : A local 5k that benefits the Children's Medical Research Institute. The cause is excellent and the registration won't break the bank. Check them out!
Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon : This is a GREAT race that's been put on for 9 years now! All those interested in the marathon/half-marathon/marathon relay should inquire within. Flat race..and it's very well put-on!!
Pancreatica Walks and Runs : Raise money to help fight pancreatic cancer and run some cool races while doing so! This Lorenzen Cancer Foundation project is a win-win!
